Classic Navy Dress Styled with Straw Hat

I was out and about this weekend and they are already putting pre-fall clothing out in stores! I cannot believe it! In my mind, summer has barely started. The heat definitely says otherwise and I’m not ready to give up my gingham print just yet. This navy dress is one of my very favorites. It covers in all the right places and HAS POCKETS 😀

This dress is made by a boutique brand that I learned about while working at a privately owned designer boutique in Austin, TX. Out of all the brands I was introduced to at this job, this was one of my favorites. They design and make all of their clothing using handmade techniques in Bali in an open air factory and I just love that everything is ethically sourced. The prints and fabrics they use are so unique as well! The company is called Bel Kazan and while you’ll mostly find them in boutiques, you can also shop certain things on their website. It’s a higher price-point but good quality and lasts quite a while if you’re following washing instructions. Also, most of their dresses have pockets and are machine washable which I think we can all agree is amazing! If you’re interested in checking out the brand you can find them here.

Straw Hat with Ribbon and Brown HandbagBrown Handbag with Gold Handles and Blue DressThis is a simple dress so I added in a straw hat and a gingham print flat. I went with a light brown bag to pull it all together! Hope you enjoy the look and the gorgeous flowers in the background. We are so lucky to be blessed with some truly fantastic parks and gardens around the Tulsa area. This one in particular is maintained by volunteers and is right down the street from our house!

What is your favorite way to wear straw hats in the summer? Do you agree it’s too early to start thinking about Fall? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
