Hi guys! Hope everyone is having a swell week. Since I’ve been traveling so much this summer and I just finished having a destination wedding of my own in Mexico, I have been shopping for clothing that will suit that occasion for months! It’s a bit funny to me because over the past couple of days I have been seeing a lot of “pre-fall” clothing out and about and I have ALLLLL of this tropical/summer stuff in my closet right now. It is what it is, though, and it is still soooo hot here that I honestly don’t care too much. I have always followed my own fashion rules anyways and tend to wear what I want when I want. This little tropical print swing dress is so easy to just throw on and go and would be perfect to wear to a destination wedding in a tropical setting. I love how flowy the fabric is and the shorter length guarantees that you won’t be too hot! I went a little more funky with my look by adding a pop of color in my shoes and a studded bag. I’m not a huge fan of giant bags for really any occasion but especially when heading to a wedding or event, I find having something a bit smaller to be easier throughout the night. This one is a super functional size because it has enough space for all the essentials without being too bulky. It also has a crossbody strap inside so it can be worn two ways which I LOVE! Because I’m 6 foot tall, I don’t always want to wear heels especially with a dress this short so the stacked heel is a perfect option for me. It makes me feel a little more dressed up without going overboard! This is a fairly casual destination wedding look but it could be even more dressed up by adding a strappy black heel and a clutch.
Have you ever been to a destination wedding? What are your thoughts on the not too small not too large handbag trend? I am still trying to figure out how best to link in product details so if you have any questions about where these items came from, leave them in the comments! Thanks for reading!
